Quick start guide

1. UPLOAD

To start, upload a video; supported formats: DV/AVI, Mpeg-1 Video, Mpeg-2 Video, H.264, H.263, Xvid, Mpeg-1 Video (layer I, II, III), OGG Vorbis. In section "Upload", press "AddFile", select a video file and then press the button "Upload".

Creativù process the new video and creates some variants of your video, which will be used for thumbnails and streaming. To monitor the processing status, you can refresh the gallery and wait until the value in the column "Status" becomes "Ready".

2. VALIDATION

Check the "Valid" flag in right box to allow the videos to be scheduled in a channel.

3. ASSIGN A CATEGORY

Select a category for your videos: default is "Other". Remember: at least one video must be catalogued as "Jolly".

4. CREATE A CHANNEL

To create a program you can fill a "Format" manually or automatically with videos which you prefer.



You can create a "Schedule" to set the start time of your formats.



Creativù allows to select a "Layout" for insert text layers or images.



You can do all these steps with a quick wizard in the section "Channel manager".



A channel must be associated to a "Schedule" and one or more "Platforms", each with a related "Layout".

5. START CREATIVU PLAYER

As last step the wizard allows to start channel. In another way you can start and stop your channel from the "Control room", which allows to monitor the stream status. To start your standalone player type:

$ "installation_dir"/creatvPlayer  rtmp://localhost:1935/creatv 1 1 false 

First "1" is related to channel id and second to platform id. You find them in the "Url" column in "Control room" section.
